My academic work is based on the 18th century École des Beaux Arts methods at an Atelier. All drawings are from life, 18-9 hours long, and using charcoal on Arches MBM book binding paper. Through this process I learn more about composition, anatomy, lighting a subject, and developing an image organically rather than copying or rendering.
